Today's painting is about my Texas bestie Debbie. Debbie moved to Texas from England shortly after we moved to TX in the 90's. I loved her British accent.
She and I spent many summer days at the pool with our kids and danced to the 'Love Shack' by the B52's. Our kids were not impressed or happy.
We were together in early October when she and her husband came for a visit to see the International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. "Good Times + Crazy Friends = Amazing Memories!"

I want to share something fun with you today called the London Fog Latte with you. YUM!
London Fog Latte
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1-2 Earl Grey tea bags
- 2 pinches dried lavender buds
- ½ cup whole milk (or milk of choice)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or granulated sugar)
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Add your tea bags to a heat proof mug that holds at least 12 ounces.
Add two pinches of dried lavender buds and pour in the boiling water. Allow too steep for 10 minutes.
Remove the tea bags and squeeze out any liquid contained in the bag. Remove the lavender buds with a spoon.
If you have a handheld immersion blender, add your tea, honey, warm milk, and vanilla to a wide mouth mason jar. Place the immersion blender into the jar and blend until frothy and well combined, about 1 minute.
If you don't have an immersion blender, your regular blender. Blend on high until frothy and well combined, for about 30 seconds.
Pour your Earl Grey latte back into the cup you brewed the tea in and serve immediately.
Top with a few sprinkles of dried lavender buds.
